Astrid's Diary - part 3
Just got back to my room after dinner. Starting to like this place, cause the food here is awesome!

And I met John, the stable manager. Turns out he trained a few horses together with my dad years ago. I was only six according to John, which explains why I don't remember him. And he moved to England several years ago, when he lost his job at the race tracks, even got a career as a cross country rider and later a trainer job, which brought him here. He's going to teach here. One of our female professors is the expert in dressage though. I haven't met her yet.

I didn't sleep much last night, so I pretty much passed out in the car, as we up to Fenrisholt. It lies in North Jutland, almost 3 hours away from the orphanage, so I got a nice long nap.

Susan woke me as we got near the school though. She's my legal guardian, assigned by the state after my parents died. She's a social worker or something like that, but she also takes care of the money from my inheritance and law stuff, that I don't really know much about. But she's basicly like an aunt to me now. I like her. Even though she eats breath mints as if they were vitamins and her jokes aren't really funny.

Friday June 29th, 2012

Hi, I'm Astrid, and this is sorta my diary. Actually this is my third one, but it feels right to begin in a fresh notebook, as my life is also taking a fresh beginning. And the other diaries were about my parents dying and my life at the orphanage (or "Midway" home as they wanted us to call it), so I kinda feel depressed just by opening those books.

I actually started writing diaries because my psychologist told me it would be healthy. I think she meant for me to write about my fealings and such, but personally I prefer writing about what happens in my life and try replicating dialogs and such. Like a daily essay. I f

I find it helpfull, if I get insecure about something, cause then I can always go back and read about it. It should also make for more interesting reading, if I should ever want to go back and remember my teen years later in life. Though I doubt I would. But you never know, right?
